The Allen-Bradley 1336F-B050-AA-EN-HCSP-L4 1336 PLUS II controller is a compact motor controller whose default operating mode is powerful enough to generate the torque required to power large induction motors in high-powered industrial applications. This operating mode is known as the sensorless vector control or SVC operating mode. The SVC operating mode is suitable for controlling induction motors, but not synchronous motors. However, the 1336F-B050-AA-EN-HCSP-L4 controller can operate as a synchronous motor controller if the operators program it to operate in its Volts/Hertz operating mode instead of the SVC mode. The 1336F-B050-AA-EN-HCSP-L4 controller can also operate as a multimotor controller in the Volts/Hertz operating mode. In both operating modes, the 1336F-B050-AA-EN-HCSP-L4 controller uses an adjustable frequency output rating between 0 and 400 Hertz to adjust a motor’s operating speed smoothly and it uses IGBTs or insulated gate bipolar transistors and programmable carrier frequency to control the motor quietly.
