The 1336F-BRF75-AE-EN-HCS1-L4 drive is a variable speed motor controller from Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. The controller is part of the Allen-Bradley 1336 PLUS II family of motor controllers with variable speed, and it accommodates a multi-pulse harmonic mitigation option. With this option, the 1336F-BRF75-AE-EN-HCS1-L4 is capable of minimizing the harmonics at the input which, if not controlled, can find their way back into the power distribution system. Note that the harmonics are capable of causing nuisance tripping and the transfer of disruptive noise to other controller aspects. Additionally, the harmonics can cause the controller’s internal components to overheat. To reduce the effects of the harmonics, the 1336F-BRF75-AE-EN-HCS1-L4, as with other controllers in the same family, supports the use of a 12-pulse front end with an autotransformer which is a multi-pulse front end option that provides a 12-pulse drive front end that is fed by a 12-pulse transformer. Additionally, this option is also available with the use of an isolation transformer. Instead of a 12-pulse front end, an 18 multi-pulse front end can also be used.
