The Allen-Bradley 150-A68NC SMC-2 series controller is an industrial smart motor controller. SMC-2 controllers are solid-state devices which are designed for starting standard three-phase squirrel cage induction motors. Controllers from the SMC-2 series are available with the following current ratings: 5, 9, 16, 24, 35, 54, 68, and 97 Amps. The SMC-2 series controllers support 3 voltage ranges, namely 200 to 230 Volts AC, 380 to 460 Volts AC, and 500 to 575 Volts AC at 50 to 60 Hertz. The SMC-2 controllers can be used either as motor controllers or as controllers with an interface option. Three modes of operation are available as standard features on SMC-2 controllers including full voltage start, current limit start and soft start operation. The soft stop mode is optional and it requires an interface module. The 150-A68NC controller is rated for 68 Amps of operational current. It is available in an open enclosure and it is rated for 500 to 575 Volts AC line voltage (3-phase, 50 and 60 Hertz).
